Heretic Pride

We have both a written assignment and a podcast with only one photo due in which we have to cover a city council meeting or a neighborhood issue meeting or a speech or anything on a pretty local level for the city itself. So I’ve not written too much, and I’ve never actually done any audio reporting before, but I’m already egotistical enough to think that my assignments are going to be super dope. I’m not saying they’re going to be the best, but I am saying they’re gonna be awesome. 

I’m actually stoked about this. I haven’t been stoked about stuff in a while. With the exception of actually going to Stanford, that is, but now that I’m here and the workload is intense, it’s nice to be excited about the workload itself. Also, my first real piece will be printed this Friday in the Palo Alto Weekly, where I’m interning. 800 words! ALL MINE! (NOT ACTUALLY BECAUSE I WAS HEAVILY EDITED, BUT WHATEVER)
